The Panasonic S-XBS tape drive has a tape width of 0.15 inches (4mm), also known as 4mm tape. Due to the use of spiral scanning technology in the magnetic tape storage system, the magnetic tape has a high storage capacity. DAT tape systems generally use write read and compression technology, which not only improves system reliability and data transfer rate, but also increases storage capacity.
